What happens after I submit a CMF?

After you submit the paper or report documenting your research effort, it is sent to the Clearinghouse database to await review. You will receive an email confirming the submission of your study. The review process is conducted on a quarterly basis. Thus, your study will be reviewed no later than three months after submittal. You will be sent an email after the study is review to notify you of the outcome.

The review process evaluates each study according to its study design, sample size, standard error, potential bias, and data source and gives a rating of excellent, fair, or poor to each category. These ratings correspond to point values in a scoring system that is used to determine the star quality rating.
